4/24/2001 - Democrats move the previous question on a tax credit bill and say they'll keep using the partisan maneuver:
Democrat Wayne Crump is the floor leader and he did this to end debate over a tax credit bill sponsored by fellow Democrat Phil Smith. Debate on the bill started last week and six amendments were added to the bill, but ending debate, meant Republicans couldn't add any other amendments to the bill. Republican Representative Charlie Shields spoke to Smith after the bill passed the House.
